In 2014, I was assistant on a Pictorial Evaluation Tool (PET) course for farmers in the West Bank. The training was led by AgriTechTalk International, a small community interest company founded by Dr. Ian Robinson. The local FAO office co-organised the training. AgriTechTalk’s small team prepared a cohort of 12 farmers for visually assessing the quality and volume of cereal harvests. (And we ate loads of musakhan while at it..).
You can download a sample of the visual crop assessment manual here.
